Correlation Applet

This applet shows various correlations. The correlation coefficient measures the strength of association between two variables. As a first step in a correlational analysis, a scatterplot is inspected for a linear trend. This applet produces random plots with a pre specified correlation coefficient. By studying these plots you will get a feel for the strength of association in a pattern of points. Select the number of points (n) to be drawn, and the value of the correlation coefficient (r) and press the draw button.
